Check your mailbox...

Yesterday I checked the mail and the ONLY piece of mail was a postcard size advertisement for "The Roomstore." Twice last week the only thing delivered in the mail was a the pack of grocery coupons. So three times in one week we only received one piece of mail. Here is my question  - how many other people only receive the same, one piece of mail on those days? How many postal workers are out delivering just one piece of mail to the majority of houses in their routes? I have two thoughts - first is that regular mail does not need to be delivered everyday and second - ALL of the companies that send ads and coupons should offer a way to opt out of paper mail and receive everything through email. I do not want to sound like I am "anti-postal workers" in any way. But it just does not make sense to me to pay hundreds of workers to deliver one postcard size piece of mail or just a pack of coupons.

Please Leave A Tip...

Last night Kristin and I took the boys out to get some dinner. We got to the restaurant - the host lead us to our table and said "Your waitress will be right with you." A few minutes later a waitress showed up and said "I am not your waitress but can I get you something to drink," so she got us our drinks (we will call this waitress W1). A few minutes later the "real" waitress showed up and took our food order.... that was the last time we saw the "real" waitress. W1 brought us our food and brought us several drink refills - our assigned waitress came and checked in once or twice.
Here is what I am thinking - shouldn't I be able to leave a tip for W1 and not our assigned waitress? Our assigned waitress did not do anything that deserves a tip while W1 did all of the work and brought us all of our food! Should people be able to specify who to give the tip to at restaurants? I think so.

Idol Results

These opening numbers on Idol need to stop. Am I the only one who thinks these group performances are just painful to listen to? Stefano went home. No real surprise.

American Idol "Final 7" Not So Lucky

I don't really know how else to put this - but last night's episode of American idol was terrible, boring and a major disappointment. Yes - I said something NEGATIVE about the Idol contestants. Anything but praise, butterflies and rainbows would definitely come as a shock to the "Top 7" because all they ever hear on the show is how great, amazing and talented they are. Let me just say that this show needs Simon because the show needs his honesty. Steven Tyler can be funny - but any contestant could hum "Mary Had A Little Lamb" and he would give a standing ovation and call the performance "Just beautiful man - you hit all of the notes." J-Lo is more concerned about being everyone's best friend and gets choked up if she even thinks about saying that a song didn't sound good.  Randy tries to "keep it real" but his harshest critique comes by saying "the first half was rough for me man...but you worked it out in the end."
The show got off to a terrible start when the eliminated contestants came back to sing "So What" by Pink. This opening song dug this week's Idol into a hole too deep to get out of. Why do we need to hear the eliminated Idol's again - THEY WERE ELIMINATED FOR A REASON - people don't want to hear them sing anymore. It was a miserable number and the rest of the show was just as bad and went like this:

Scotty McCreery - "Swingin'" by LeAnn Rimes
James Durbin - "Uprising" by Muse
Haley Reinhart - "Rolling In The Deep" by Adele
Jacob Lusk - "Dance With My Father" by Luther Vandross
Casey Abrams - "Harder To Breathe" by Maroon 5
Stefano Langone - "Closer" by Ne-Yo
Lauren Alaina - "Born To Fly" by Sara Evans

Can I just say "BOOOO!" seven times? That sums it up. The microphone still must be too heavy for Scotty because he can't hold it straight, James looked like a GI Joe from "Nightmare Before Christmas," Haley sang everyone to sleep...seriously my 3 year old and 6 month old boys - out like a light, Jacob messed up the words, Casey looks like he will bite your finger off if you get too close, Stefano knows he should have gone home weeks ago and Lauren is acting like a scared 6 year old girl on stage.
I cant wait to see who goes home tonight. HA. Actually I don't care this week - just get it over with, send someone home and let's hope they step it up next week.

Will AZ miss the Coyotes?

Some of you might know - but the reality is most people probably do not know that the Phoenix Coyotes got swept out of the first round of the NHL Playoffs last night by the Detroit Red Wings. So big deal right? I mean it is not a secret that the Coyotes have never been as popular as the Suns, Cardinals and Diamondbacks.
Without getting into all of the details - there is a very real chance that the Coyotes will leave Phoenix and move to Winnipeg next season - which means no more NHL in AZ, probably ever. Here is my question: If the decision to move the Coyotes to Winnipeg has already been made - should the NHL and/or the Coyotes have made the information known before or during the playoffs? If you knew that the Coyotes were leaving would you have tried to go to a game? Would you have watched the game last night?
I have never gone to a Coyotes game - but I think sports fans and especially hockey fans deserved to know if last night was the last NHL game in AZ.

Hi there!

Have you ever had one of those days where you just wanted to get some thoughts or opinions off of your mind? Maybe something on TV really grabbed your attention, maybe something on the radio made your blood boil a little bit or maybe you just need a few minutes on your personal "soap-box" to get something off of your chest - I sure have and for these reasons and for any reason at all... I bring you "That's All I Have to Say About That."
Inspired by a quote from the movie "Forrest Gump" - this blog will provide the opportunity to say what we need to say. News, TV, Sports, Food, Conspiracy Theories, Kids... let's talk about it all. Before the posts start rolling in, let's talk about the Blog Rules: I will post my views and opinions and everyone else is invited to do the same. Personal attacks of any kind towards another person on the blog will not be tolerated. For example - If I post that I think Donkey Kong is the best video game ever - you can post that you hate Donkey Kong because it is a terrible game - but do not post that you hate me because I like Donkey Kong. We all do not have to agree - I actually hope we do not agree on everything - but do not turn posts into personal attacks. If something is offensive - it will be taken down. No profanity and do not post anything that you would not want your mom, dad, significant other or child to see...common sense stuff.
This is going to be fun and I hope to hear from you all. Welcome to "That's All I Have to Say About That."
